Cyprus’ weekend weather forecast shows mostly clear conditions today, though clouds will increase around midday and early afternoon, bringing the chance of isolated showers and possibly a brief thunderstorm, mainly over the mountains, inland areas, and the east.
Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally strengthening to 4 to 5 Beaufort along the southern coast. Temperatures will rise to around 30°C inland, 28°C on the southern and eastern coasts, 27°C on the western and northern coasts, and 22°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though some low cloud may develop at times, mainly in the west and north. Winds will turn north-westerly to north-easterly, light and locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 15°C inland, around 17°C on the coasts, and 12°C in the higher mountains.
Over the weekend, periods of increased cloud cover are expected, which may bring isolated showers. By Monday, the weather will become mostly clear again. Temperatures will gradually fall slightly through the three-day period but will remain a little above average for the season.
