The weather forecast for Cyprus this afternoon includes isolated showers or even thunderstorms over mountainous and southeastern regions, according to the Meteorological Service.
The day’s overall outlook remains mostly fair, but increased cloud cover may bring brief local rain, especially in higher elevations. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly at light to moderate strength (3–4 Beaufort), and seas will be slight.
Tonight: mostly clear with light fog possible
Tonight, skies will clear, though patchy fog or low cloud may form around dawn in some areas. Winds will shift to northwesterly to northeasterly, remaining light to locally moderate, and seas will stay mostly calm.
Temperatures will drop to around 21°C inland, 23°C on the coasts, and 19°C in the higher mountains.
Tuesday: sunny and hot
Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly clear, with light morning winds from the northeast to southeast gradually turning southwesterly to northwesterly by afternoon.
Seas will remain slightly choppy.
Temperatures will climb to around 38°C inland, 33°C along the coast, and 30°C in the mountains.
Outlook: hotter by midweek
From Wednesday through Friday, the weather will stay mostly sunny, with temperatures rising slightly above the average for the season.
