Clouds and isolated rain expected today
The weather forecast indicates that weak low pressure is affecting the region, bringing intervals of increased cloud cover across the island.
Today, locally increased clouds are expected at times, which may lead to isolated showers, mainly in areas south of the Troodos Mountains.
Winds will initially blow from the northwest to northeast, weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, later shifting to southwest to northwest at similar strengths, while in southern areas they may reach up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough.
Temperatures will rise to around 22°C inland and along the coast, and near 10°C in the higher mountainous areas.
Clear skies overnight with frost risk
Tonight, conditions will become mostly clear. Winds will remain mainly northwesterly, weak and at times locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will stay slight to a little rough.
Temperatures will drop to around 10°C inland, about 11°C along the coast, and down to 3°C in higher mountainous regions, where frost is expected to form locally.
Unsettled pattern continues midweek
From Tuesday through Thursday, the weather forecast suggests periods of increased cloud cover, particularly during midday hours. These may result in isolated showers, mainly over mountainous areas.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Tuesday, remaining close to or just below seasonal averages. No significant change is anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday.
