The Road Transport Department (RTD) announced the vehicle licence renewal 2026 process, which begins Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
The final renewal deadline is on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at midnight.
Licences renew for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. Late renewals incur €10 plus 10% of the due amount.
Renewal requires a fitness certificate and insurance.
RTD improved its payment system with enhanced issuance controls based on payments.
