VAT submission deadlines extended

First extension period

The Tax Department announces extensions for submitting VAT Declarations and paying due VAT for the period ending November 30, 2024, plus the INTRASTAT Declaration for December 2024.

Both deadlines now extend to January 14, 2025.

Second extension period

Submission of VAT Declaration and payment for period ending November 30, 2025 receives extension; this includes the Summary Table (VIES) for December 2025, plus Special Urban Taxi Regime VAT declaration and payment for second half of 2025.

All extend to January 20, 2026.

Penalties for non-compliance

Late VAT declarations incur €100 penalty. Untimely VAT payment adds 10% surcharge on owed amount.

Late INTRASTAT carries €15 fine; late VIES €50; late Taxi Regime declaration €51 plus 10% on owed amount.
