A man in the United States drove his car through the front of a Mazda dealership hours after purchasing it, following a dispute over the return policy. The incident occurred in Sandy, Utah, when 35-year-old Michael Murray attempted to return a $4,000 Subaru Outback he described as “faulty.” The dealership refused a refund, citing its “as-is” policy.
After receiving a negative response from Tim Dahle Mazda, Murray threatened to drive his car through the entrance. Despite staff efforts to calm him, he carried out his threat shortly after 4 p.m. Thankfully, no one was in the area at the time, but the damages to the dealership are estimated at $10,000.
Murray was immediately arrested and charged with criminal damage and reckless endangerment. Dealership employees expressed relief that no injuries occurred, describing the act as a result of uncontrollable anger.
