The United States has restored Cyprus to its standard travel advisory level, Level 1, recommending only normal precautions for travellers.
At the same time, the United Kingdom has updated its travel guidance, maintaining Cyprus among destinations for which there is no advice against travel while also lowering its risk assessment level.
The developments are being viewed as a positive boost for Cyprus’ reputation as a tourist destination.
Foreign Ministry welcomes decision
In a social media post, the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the changes as a positive development for the country’s image abroad.
The Ministry said the updated travel advisories reflect international confidence in Cyprus as a safe and high-quality destination for visitors.
Safe destination recognised
The revised guidance from both the United States and the United Kingdom comes as Cyprus continues to promote itself as a secure and attractive destination for tourism and business.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the latest decisions highlight the country’s stability and reinforce its standing among international travellers.
The Ministry added that the developments reflect Cyprus’ image as a safe and quality destination, an important factor for the island’s tourism industry.
