An urgent blood donation appeal has been issued for a 19-year-old motorcyclist who is in serious condition following a road accident in Limassol.
The 19-year-old was riding a motorcycle on Nikaia Avenue in Limassol when, under circumstances being investigated by police, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.
Multiple injuries reported
The rider was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors found that he had suffered multiple fractures and pulmonary contusions.
He remains in hospital for treatment, with his condition described as serious.
The motorcyclist underwent an alcohol test, which returned a zero reading.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
