Palestinian Ambassador to the UN: “No justification” for US veto

There is “no justification” for the US veto on a UN Security Council draft resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, which aimed “to end the atrocities,” stated Mazen Bamya, a representative of the Palestinian diplomatic mission, today.

Bamya said that they are human beings, and they must be treated as such, pounding his fist on the Security Council table, arguing that the resolution vetoed by the Americans called for nothing more than “the absolute essentials.”
