Ukrainians living in Cyprus once again highlighted the value of freedom and human dignity as their country continues its struggle for independence.
The 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence was marked on Monday evening with an event held at the Limassol Molos, bringing together Ukrainians, Cypriots and other members of the community.
The event was organised by the Ukraine-Cyprus Friendship Association with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine. Its aim was to make the occasion a day of unity, remembrance and culture, while expressing gratitude for the solidarity and humanitarian, economic and political support provided to Ukraine during the war.
