Massive drone and missile strike overnight
A major Russian attack struck multiple regions in Ukraine overnight, with hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles launched across the country, Ukrainian officials said.
Authorities reported that 324 drones and three ballistic missiles were fired during the assault, targeting mainly southern port infrastructure.
Civilian casualties reported
Ukrainian officials confirmed that at least one woman was killed and several people were injured in the attack.
In the city of Dnipro, three people were injured after strikes damaged a nine-storey residential building and a government facility.
The attack followed an earlier missile strike on the same city that killed five people and injured nearly 30.
Widespread damage across regions
Further injuries were reported in Cherkasy, where four people were wounded in a drone attack, according to regional authorities.
In Zaporizhzhia, a 74-year-old woman was killed when strikes damaged a parking area, businesses, and nearby residential buildings.
Officials also reported damage in the southern port city of Odesa, where drone strikes hit port infrastructure, warehouses, and government buildings.
Air defence response
Ukraine’s Air Force said it intercepted or neutralised 309 of the 324 drones launched during the Russian attack.
However, missiles and remaining drones still struck targets in at least nine regions across the country.
Ongoing escalation
Authorities in the Kyiv region also reported drone activity overnight as Russia continues its intensified aerial campaign against Ukrainian territory.
The latest attack comes amid ongoing escalation in strikes targeting both civilian infrastructure and strategic facilities.
