Two medical centres found with plasmapheresis machines

Police in Larnaca have launched an investigation into the operation of plasma exchange machines at two medical centres following a referral from the Medical Services Department.

Investigation launched

According to police, a letter dated September 14, 2026, was received today from the Medical Services Department referring to two medical centres where plasma exchange machines were identified.

Following receipt of the letter, instructions were given to the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the matter in cooperation with the Medical Services Department.

The investigation will determine whether the operation of the plasma exchange machines at the two centres complies with relevant legislation.
