Turkish F-16 jets are once again flying over occupied areas

Date:

New F-16 flights were recorded over the occupied areas, with Turkish F-16 fighter jets carrying out routine operations above the region.

The aircraft are stationed at the illegal Tymbou airport since 9 March, according to reports.

Photographs published by Turkish Cypriot media

The Turkish Cypriot website Kıbrıs Postası published photographs showing the jets in flight and noted that similar F-16 flights had taken place during the previous week.

The images reportedly confirm continued aerial activity over the area.

Repeated activity in recent days

According to the same reports, these flights are not isolated incidents, as Turkish F-16 jets have been conducting repeated routine operations over the occupied territories.

The developments come amid ongoing monitoring of military activity in the region.
