Tragedy in Larnaca: 23-year-old motorcyclist Angelos killed

A new fatal accident has been reported in Larnaca, claiming the life of 23-year-old motorcyclist Angelos Adamou.


According to police, the crash occurred in the early hours of Maundy Thursday on Griva Digeni Avenue. Under circumstances still under investigation, the young man, a resident of Aradippou, is believed to have lost control of his high-capacity motorcycle.


The motorcycle first crashed violently into the pavement and then into a nearby bus stop. Despite wearing a protective helmet, Adamou sustained fatal injuries.


He was taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.


Larnaca Traffic Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
