Traffic cameras bring in €12.3 million in fines by September

Traffic camera fines in Cyprus have brought in €12.3 million by September 2025, according to data presented on Thursday before the Parliamentary Audit Committee.

The figures were shared during a session examining the state’s 2024 fiscal report, prepared by the General Accounting Office. Committee members were briefed on the government’s main financial indicators and spending patterns.

In his presentation, Auditor General Andreas Antoniadis said state revenues from operational and investment activities for 2024 reached €9.51 billion, while expenditures stood at €9 billion, resulting in a fiscal surplus of €0.5 billion.

Regarding revenue from traffic enforcement, Antoniadis noted that fines from the traffic cameras in Cyprus totalled €11.3 million in 2024 and have already risen to €12.3 million by September 2025.
