Collision blocks main highway lanes
A road accident occurred on Wednesday morning on the Nicosia–Akaki highway, near the Kokkinotrimithia exit, leading to the closure of both traffic lanes.
According to police, traffic following the road accident has been diverted through the village of Kokkinotrimithia to ease congestion.
One person injured
Authorities confirmed that one person was injured in the road accident and was transported by ambulance to hospital for treatment. No further details on the condition of the injured person have been released.
Traffic diversions in place
Police officers remain at the scene, directing vehicles and urging drivers to follow instructions carefully. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect delays in the wider area following the road accident.
