Tobacco shop fire targets close associate of Demosthenous

Fire Service crews responded to 34 incidents in the last 24 hours, including 26 fires and 8 special services. At 03:44 a.m., teams from Limassol Fire Stations attended a fire at a tobacco and drinks shop in Limassol with two fire engines.

The blaze affected the shop’s glass display window and external Christmas decorations. Heat and smoke also caused damage inside the premises and to a small portion of goods.

Causes of the fire will be investigated later. The incident has drawn attention as it targets a businessman and close associate of Demosthenous.
