Three more life sentences in Andronikou murder case in Nicosia

The Nicosia Criminal Court has handed down life sentences to three more defendants for the premeditated murder of Dimitris Andronikou, also known as “Dimitroui.”

It is noted that the three accused pleaded guilty to the charge of premeditated murder.

It is also recalled that Yasser Arar, the motorcycle driver involved in the case, was previously sentenced to life imprisonment.

Two additional individuals are accused in the same case, but they have not admitted guilt to the charges they face. The hearing for their trial is set to continue on 13 February.

To recap, 34-year-old Dimitris Andronikou succumbed to his injuries on 28 May while being treated at Nicosia General Hospital. He had been shot on the afternoon of 23 April 2024 on the Palaiochori road.
