The many facets of Trikoupi street in the mural adorning old Nicosia

Date:

A new mural appeared a few days ago on Trikoupi Street in old Nicosia.

Created by the artist Twenty Three, the work aims to enhance the public space and strengthen the identity of the area.

The mural approaches the city as a field of coexistence of multiple narratives, drawing inspiration from social realism and the historical evolution of Trikoupi Street.

It brings together traditional professions that operated in the area for decades, as well as the everyday routines of local residents.

The Trikoupi mural aspires to become a point of reference for those who live, work in and visit old Nicosia. The project was fully funded by the Nicosia Tourism Board and carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Nicosia.
