Two teenagers were injured late on Sunday night after their car overturned in an accident in Polis Chrysochous, in the Paphos district.
At around 11:30 p.m., the vehicle carrying an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old veered off course, first striking trees on the left side of the road before colliding with another tree on the right and overturning at the scene.
According to police, the 18-year-old was ejected from the vehicle, while the 17-year-old was trapped inside and had to be freed by Fire Service officers. Both were taken by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where they were admitted for treatment.
Doctors confirmed that both teenagers are out of danger. Officers from the Polis Chrysochous Police Station and the Paphos Traffic Department carried out examinations at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the Polis Chrysochous car accident, including which of the two was driving the vehicle.
