The Tax Department has announced the opening of the submission period for Individual Income Tax Returns for the 2025 tax year through the TAXISnet system, urging employees, pensioners and self-employed persons who meet the relevant income criteria to file on time.
According to the announcement, individuals with gross income exceeding €19,500 in 2025 are required to submit a tax return, as outlined in Cabinet Decree K.D.P. 52/2025.
Deadline set for October 2026
Under Decree K.D.P. 260/2026, the deadline for submitting the 2025 Income Tax Return, as well as paying any due tax without interest or penalties, has been set for 31 October 2026.
The Tax Department also reminded taxpayers that late submission of returns carries a financial penalty of €150, in accordance with Article 50A(a) of the Tax Assessment and Collection Law.
Electronic submission via TAXISnet
Taxpayers can submit their declarations electronically through the TAXISnet platform.
The department has also made informational material and detailed guidance available on its website to assist taxpayers with completing and submitting their 2025 Income Tax Return.
