On December 3, the State Literature Awards Ceremony for the 2023 Publications
The Department of Contemporary Culture, under the Deputy Ministry of Culture, invites the public to the State Literature Awards Ceremony for the publications of 2023. The event will take place on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, at 7:00 p.m., at the Main Stage of THOC.
The evening promises a rich cultural programme, starting with a musical introduction by internationally acclaimed pianist Ms Elena Mouzala. The ceremony will include a keynote speech by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr Vasiliki Kassianidou, followed by the presentation of the judges’ awards by Mr Kyriakos Ioannou, Ms Katerina Karatasou, and Mr Konstantinos Georgiou, who lead the respective judging committees for Literature, Children’s and Young Adults’ Literature, and Illustration Awards.
The Deputy Minister will present the awards to the winners, who will deliver brief responses interspersed with screenings of kinetic typography films featuring excerpts from their honoured works.
The event will be hosted by actor Neoklis Neokleous, and the evening will conclude with a reception. Admission is free, inviting the public to join in celebrating excellence in contemporary literature.
