Six medals for Cyprus at the Special Olympics Winter Games

The Cypriot delegation returns from the Special Olympics World Winter Games with a total of 6 medals.

According to the Cyprus Special Olympics Federation, the efforts of the six athletes of Special Olympic Cyprus at the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025 in Turin, were successfully completed on Saturday.

The events in which they participated were held, from March 10-15, on the tracks of Sestriere and Pragelato.

In Snowshoeing, the Cypriot athletes won 2 gold and 3 silver medals and in Cross Country Ski, 1 gold medal. The Cypriot delegation won 3 gold and 3 silver medals in total.

According to the Cyprus Special Olympics Federation, the Cypriot delegation returns this afternoon at 17:20 (Cyprus time), “enthusiastic and satisfied with their successful participation”, the statement concludes.
