Security issues discussed during UEFA Forum in Limassol

Security issues and the policing of football games were discussed during the UEFA Regional Safety and Security Forum, that took place on Wednesday in Limassol, in the presence of technocrats on issues of safety in football games from eight European Federations.

According to the Cyprus Football Association, the Forum, which kicked off on Wednesday morning, was attended by representatives of the Football Associations of Cyprus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine, as well as UEFA representatives.

The Forum’s agenda included, among others, issues related to the policing of football games, the use of fireworks by fans and the management of security issues, risk management during football games and the presence of away teams’ fans in the stadiums, the Cyprus Football Association said.
