A second wildfire broke out at 14:31 on Monday in the livestock area of Tseri, burning approximately three hectares of dry grass, wild vegetation, trees, and waste materials.
The fire occurred near the site of a previous blaze earlier the same day, which had been brought under control after destroying around two hectares and affecting an abandoned building.
Four fire engines from Nicosia district stations responded. They were supported by one vehicle from the Forestry Department, as well as teams from the Game and Fauna Service, volunteers from SupportCY, and five private excavators working nearby.
Authorities say the fire has now been contained, and efforts are ongoing to prevent rekindling.
