Rwanda president highlights Cyprus’ role in EastMediterranean

Cyprus’ new High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda, based in Nairobi, Savvas Vladimirou, presented recently his credentials to President Paul Kagame who highlighted Cyprus’ role in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In a meeting Ambassador Vladimirou conveyed the greetings of President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and expressed Cyprus’s willingness to further deepen bilateral relations with Rwanda, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release said yesterday.

On his part, President Kagame conveyed his greetings to President Christodoulides, referring, among other things, to the positive role Cyprus plays in the Eastern Mediterranean region and wished the new High Commissioner every success in his mission, emphasising that he would have the support of both himself and the Government of his country.
