Six people were killed in a missile strike in Russia near the border with Ukraine, according to local authorities.
“Six civilians were killed and four injured, including a child,” regional governor Alexander Shuvaev said on the Max platform.
He said the strike targeted the village of Koloskovo, around 15 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
Cross-border attacks intensify
Russia and Ukraine have intensified attacks against each other in recent months, leading to a growing number of civilian casualties on both sides.
A Ukrainian attack involving hundreds of drones against Russia on Sunday killed 12 people, according to Russian authorities.
Meanwhile, Russian strikes killed seven people in Ukraine, according to Ukrainian authorities.
