Russia’s Defence Ministry said it intercepted and destroyed 286 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions of the country.
According to the announcement, the large-scale drone interception operation targeted multiple Russian territories during the night.
Fire reported in Krasnodar region
In the southern Krasnodar region, local authorities said debris from a downed drone fell on an industrial facility, causing a fire.
Emergency services were deployed to the site to contain the blaze, while an assessment of the damage is ongoing.
Rising use of drones in conflict
The incident comes amid continued use of unmanned aerial systems in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides reporting frequent drone attacks and interceptions.
Authorities have not yet provided additional details on casualties or the extent of the damage.
