Road accident involving minors in Alethriko, Larnaca

A road traffic collision occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 14 July, on a road in Alethriko, in the Larnaca district, involving a moped ridden by a minor.

According to the Police, a 14-year-old was riding the moped with a 13-year-old passenger. Under circumstances still under investigation, the moped collided laterally and head-on with a passing car driven by a 44-year-old man.

The two minors were taken by their relatives to Larnaca General Hospital, where they received medical attention and were later discharged, as they did not sustain serious injuries.

The circumstances of the collision are being investigated by the Kofinou District Police Station.
