According to the Meteorology Department, the weather in Cyprus will be partly cloudy and at times overcast today, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms expected mainly after midday. Hail may also occur during storms.
Tonight, skies will remain partly cloudy, and isolated showers may develop, mainly along the northern coast.
On Saturday, locally increased cloud cover is expected at intervals, which may bring isolated showers around midday and early afternoon, mainly in the mountains.

A weak low-pressure system is affecting the area.
Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times overcast, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms expected mainly after midday. Hail may occur in some storms. Light dust may initially be present in the atmosphere. Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, force 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 27°C inland, in the south and east coasts, around 26°C on the west and north coasts, and 17°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight, it will remain partly cloudy, with isolated showers possible, mainly along the northern coast. Winds will blow mainly north-westerly to north-easterly, light at force 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 12°C inland, 15°C on the coasts, and 8°C in the higher mountains.
On Saturday, clouds will increase locally at times, possibly bringing isolated showers around midday and early afternoon, especially over the mountains. Sunday will be mainly clear, while Monday will remain mostly fine with occasional high cloud.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Monday and will remain above average for the season.
