A case of vehicle arson, involving a car owned by a 33-year-old man, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at Agioi Omologites, is being investigated by the Nicosia CID.
According to police information, at around 12:05 a.m., a report was received about a fire in a parked car in the underground parking area of an apartment building.
The Fire Service rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire, which caused extensive damage of an as yet unknown value.
Initial examinations indicated that the fire was started maliciously, according to the Police.
