Police are investigating kidnapping case in Nicosia, following a report made by a 57-year-old man who said he was abducted and assaulted by unknown individuals.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred during the night when the man was in an open area in Nicosia. He was attacked by several people who struck him in various parts of his body.
The suspects then allegedly forced him into his own vehicle and drove him to another location, where they caused damage to the car before abandoning the scene.
Police and an ambulance were called immediately after. The victim was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors found he had suffered multiple bruises and lacerations. After receiving first aid, he was discharged.
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) continues to investigate the Nicosia kidnapping case.
