Six of those arrested in connection with a murder plot investigation have been issued detention and deportation orders, police said.
Their deportation is expected to take place in the coming days.
The investigation concerns alleged conspiracy to murder and participation in a criminal organisation.
Two suspects face court proceedings
Two men, aged 33 and 35, who were arrested on August 29, 2026, are due to appear before the Famagusta District Court at 10am on Monday.
A case is expected to be registered against them for referral to the Criminal Court.
Investigation followed Europol information
The investigation began after information was passed to Cyprus Police through Europol by Danish authorities.
The information concerned alleged plans to carry out contract killings in Cyprus.
The intended targets were two foreign nationals from a third country who are twin brothers and were expected to travel to Cyprus for a holiday.
Police continue to investigate the case.
