Philippines President wants to strengthen ties with Nicosia

President of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. expressed his support for strengthening bilateral relations with Cyprus, accepting the credentials of new Ambassador, based in Jakarta, Nikos Panayiotou, at the beginning of November.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Panayiotou conveyed the cordial greetings of President Nikos Christodoulides and the solidarity of the government and the people of Cyprus following the recent natural disasters that struck the country.

He also expressed Cyprus’s will to further deepen the already excellent relations between the two countries, which are based on common principles and values.

The President of the Philippines focused particularly on the ties that unite the citizens of the two countries.
