EAC announces maintenance works across several communities
Power cuts are scheduled in several areas of Paphos on Monday as the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) carries out maintenance work on its network.
According to an EAC announcement, the temporary interruptions are necessary to allow maintenance work to be carried out on the overhead medium-voltage network.
Areas and times affected
Between 08:00 and 10:00, electricity will be interrupted in:
Goudi.
Between 08:00 and 14:00, the Paphos power cuts will affect:
Pano Akourdaleia, Kato Akourdaleia, Terra, Skoulli, Choli and the north-western part of Kritou Terra.
Between 10:00 and 14:00, the affected areas will be:
Giolou, Miliou, Simou, Loukrounou, Kritou Terra, Pano Arodes, Kato Arodes, Ineia, Drouseia and Pittokopos.
EAC issues safety warning
The EAC stressed that the Paphos power cuts may not last for the entire period indicated in the announcement.
For safety reasons, consumers should therefore treat their electrical installations as live throughout the full scheduled interruption period, as power may be restored earlier than expected.
