From Tuesday 12 August until Thursday 14 August, Paphos Municipality will open the air-conditioned multipurpose cultural centre “Palia Ilektriki” to protect public health during the extreme heatwave affecting the city and country.
According to the Municipality’s announcement, the venue will operate daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing shelter especially for elderly citizens and other vulnerable groups. Free water will be offered to all visitors.
This initiative aims to support public health and social cohesion, particularly during periods of extreme weather conditions.
