The Paphos municipality continues to operate normally without any disruption, Deputy Mayor and acting Mayor Angelos Onisiforou said, emphasising that serving citizens remains the municipal authority’s top priority.
Onisiforou expressed regret over recent developments reported in the media and the current situation. He also stressed his full confidence in the Justice system and state institutions, which are solely responsible for investigating the events.
Call for unity and cooperation
He sent a message of unity, highlighting that in collaboration with the Municipal Council, the municipality continues its work with seriousness, responsibility and a spirit of cooperation, aiming for the city’s benefit.
Appeal to media
Finally, Onisiforou urged the media to help maintain calm and composure to reduce tensions, underlining that Paphos needs peace, unity and constructive work.
