Open invitation to participate in the Aglantzia Carnival 2025

The Municipality of Nicosia invites schools, cultural and sports clubs, organisations, groups, residents, and citizens of the greater Nicosia area to take part in the annual Carnival Parade, which will take place on 23rd February 2025 in Aglantzia.

Parade details:

  • Date: Sunday, 23rd February 2025
  • Start Time: 11:30 AM
  • Location: Kyrenia Avenue
  • Registration Deadline: Wednesday, 5th February 2025

Important information:

  1. Maximum Number of Participants per Group:
    • Each group may have up to 150 participants.
    • If a group exceeds this limit, it must be divided into separate teams with the same theme, each with a designated team leader.
  2. Theme:
    • Open to all themes.
  3. Parade Route:
    • Approximately 1,550 metres (from the junction of Kyrenia Avenue with Karavas Street to the Traffic Education Park of the Police).
  4. Participation Fee per Group:
    • 1-80 participants: €80
    • 81-120 participants: €120
    • 121-150 participants: €150

  5. Prizes:
    • Awards will be given to the top four groups:
      • 1st Prize: €1000
      • 2nd Prize: €800
      • 3rd Prize: €600
      • 4th Prize: €400
    • Winners will be selected by a Judging Committee appointed by the Municipality, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the parade.

      • Length: 400 cm
      • Width: 300 cm
      • Height: 350 cm
    • Logos: The placement of logos is only permitted with prior approval from the Municipality of Nicosia.
