Omani ambassador reaffirms support for UN resolutions on Cyprus

The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Cyprus has expressed Oman’s support for the reunification of Cyprus in line with United Nations resolutions on the Cyprus issue.

According to an announcement, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of Cyprus celebrated its 54th National Day with a reception attended by Cyprus’s Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, alongside officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the House of Representatives, accredited ambassadors, and numerous other guests.

In his address, Oman’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Mohammed Al-Nahdi, highlighted the significant bilateral political and economic relations between Oman and Cyprus in areas such as economy, trade, tourism, and higher education.

He also reiterated Oman’s commitment to supporting Cyprus’s efforts to meet its people’s aspirations for a better future for coming generations and to the reunification of the island based on UN resolutions.

Furthermore, the ambassador expressed Oman’s determination to remain steadfast in its commitment to peace, prosperity, and sustainability both regionally and globally, according to the Embassy’s announcement.
