Road closures in Nicosia will affect three major roads on Sunday, 18 October, due to the RUN AS ONE charity running race, with traffic restrictions coming into force from 6.30am.
The race will take place within Nicosia Municipality between 7.30am and 1pm, resulting in the closure of specific sections of the road network.
According to the announcement, the following roads will be affected by the traffic arrangements.
Griva Digeni Avenue
The two southbound lanes will close from the junction with Prodromou Avenue to the junction with 28th October Street.
The two northbound lanes will also close from 28th October Street to Kolokasides roundabout.
Archangelou Avenue
Both directions will be closed between the junction with Griva Digeni Avenue and the junction with Lefkotheou and Makedonitissis avenues.
Nikou Kranidioti Street
Both directions will close from the junction with Griva Digeni Avenue to the roundabout at Theodosi Pieridi Street.
Drivers advised to use alternative routes
Drivers planning to travel through the affected areas are advised to take the road closures into account, exercise caution and use alternative routes to avoid delays.
The restrictions will begin at 6.30am on Sunday, 18 October, ahead of the race, which is scheduled to run until 1pm.
