A Nicosia fatal road accident in the early hours of Tuesday has left a 20-year-old man dead.
At around 1:20am, Kyriakos Antoniou, 20, from Agios Dometios, was driving along Larnacos Avenue in Aglantzia, heading from the University roundabout towards Nicosia.
Under circumstances still under investigation, his vehicle collided with another car driven by a 24-year-old man, with a 23-year-old passenger.
The impact caused Antoniou’s car to veer off course and crash into a traffic lighting pole, where it came to a stop.
He was transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the attending doctor confirmed his death.
The two occupants of the second car were also taken to Nicosia General Hospital. After receiving first aid, they were discharged.
The causes of the Nicosia fatal road accident are under investigation by Nicosia Traffic Police.
