Police in Nicosia arrested a 50-year-old man on Sunday night after discovering a firearm and a stray bullet linked to him.
Following the evaluation of information received, officers located a pistol inside the man’s car. In addition, a single bullet was found at a location he had previously visited. According to reports, the stray bullet was discovered inside a kiosk in Pallouriotissa.
The Nicosia 50-year-old arrested has drawn attention due to the unusual circumstances, with authorities investigating how the bullet ended up at the kiosk and whether the weapon is connected to any other offences.
The man is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today, where police will seek a remand order to continue their investigation.
