New €595,600 roundabout for Protaras

A new traffic roundabout will be built at the busy intersection of Kavo Greko Avenue and Thali Street (near Lidl) in Protaras, Paralimni.

The Ministry of Transport announced that the contract was signed on Wednesday 26 November 2025 between the Department of Public Works and contractor Adelfoi Katsiou (Styliotes) Ltd.

Project details

  • Internal diameter: 15 metres
  • Two lanes, each 3.75 m wide
  • External pavement minimum 2.85 m wide
  • Inner island with 2 m wide paving blocks
  • Full street lighting by EAC
  • Irrigation system, road markings, telecom & water works

Timeline & cost

  • Works start: December 2025
  • Duration: 4 months
  • Cost: €595,600.79 + VAT

The new roundabout aims to improve traffic flow and safety on one of the area’s busiest roads.
