Netanyahu testifies at Tel Aviv District Court

Date:

After eight years of preliminary investigations and witness depositions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is appearing today at the Tel Aviv District Court to begin his testimony.

The hearing process for Netanyahu’s testimony is expected to last at least one month.

As stipulated, and despite the country being in a state of war, Netanyahu is required to attend court three times a week for six hours per session.

Despite objections raised by Netanyahu’s legal team, the court rejected their request to reduce the number of weekly appearances from three to two.

During a press conference held yesterday with Israeli journalists, Netanyahu stated that he had waited eight long years for the opportunity to counter “the lies” against him.
