Naxos named best island in Europe for 2025, Cyprus ranks 15th

Naxos has been voted the best island in Europe for 2025 by readers of the prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller.

According to the British edition’s Readers’ Choice Awards, Naxos earned an impressive score of 95.71, praised for its charming villages, excellent food, endless beaches, and iconic Aegean landmarks. The largest of the Cyclades, it is described as a destination that “has it all” and can please every type of traveller.

Visitors to Naxos can relax on both organised and untouched beaches, enjoy local cuisine and traditional products, experience lively nightlife, and explore its long history through its many monuments and settlements.

Greek islands dominate the top 20

Naxos wasn’t the only Greek island to stand out in the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. Crete came in 8th place, Corfu ranked 10th, while Rhodes and Skiathos followed in 11th and 12th respectively. Mykonos placed 14th, Folegandros 17th, and Santorini 18th.

Cyprus also earned a mention, coming in at 15th place with a score of 85.71, just ahead of Sardinia and behind Mykonos.
