A mother whose nine-month-old baby died two years ago says she is still waiting to learn why her baby died, after receiving no answers or updates from authorities.
Speaking to Protoselido, the woman said that in the two years since her child’s death, she has had no communication from the service responsible for the investigation.
“No answer, no one calls. I have to phone myself to ask whether it’s finished, whether we have any result,” she said, describing how her anxiety has grown since giving birth to a second child.
“I need to know if it was something hereditary, if it was something my baby was born with, if it can be passed on to the next child,” she added, explaining that the lack of information about why her baby died leaves her fearful for her newborn’s health.
The mother said the emotional toll remains immense and stressed that the issue goes beyond her own case, affecting many families still waiting for reports from forensic services.
“The wound grows deeper with every delay. I will never forget my child. But I want an answer- because it was sudden. I want to know why my baby died,” she concluded.
