Mother who gave child sedatives charged with attempted murder

Date:

A mother and her child were hospitalised and later discharged after being transferred to a private medical facility in Limassol on the night of 10 February, following an incident authorities are investigating as particularly serious.

Examinations reveal excessive pill use

Speaking on the programme Mesimeri kai Kati, Limassol CID officer Lefteris Kyriakou said the mother was taken to the clinic shortly after 11pm, with the child transferred minutes later.

Medical examinations indicated excessive use of pills. The clinic informed police, who visited the family home and collected evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
