Mother urges action against autistic child bullying in Larnaca school

Date:

A mother, Georgia Loizidou, reports repeated bullying of her autistic-spectrum child at a Larnaca gymnasium, including physical violence, verbal abuse, and general harassment.

Speaking to “Protoselido”, Loizidou said the bullying incidents began at the school year’s start and persist despite disciplinary measures. She calls for collective response from family and state.

Mother’s plea for protection

“My priority is protecting my child,” she stated. Her public stance aims to highlight responsibilities and root out such cases.

She filed complaints; police and school now handle institutionally. “I respect the process while safeguarding my child,” she added. The child attended school today with administration assurances of protection.

Loizidou stressed the child’s severe trauma but focus now lies on prevention. “Children must feel safe at school,” she said, advocating productive, protected environments.
