Mostly clear skies and warm weekend weather in Cyprus

The weekend weather in Cyprus is expected to remain mostly clear, as a weak high-pressure system continues to affect the region. Temperatures will stay steady through Saturday, before rising slightly by Monday, reaching levels noticeably above the average for this time of year.

According to the Meteorological Service, today’s weather will be mainly clear with light to moderate north-westerly to north-easterly winds, locally shifting to south-easterly at times, reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough, locally a little rough along the eastern coast.

Temperatures will climb to around 29°C inland, as well as on the southern and eastern coasts, around 27°C on the northern and western coasts, and 21°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, though increased high cloud cover is expected later. Winds will stay light, mainly north-westerly to north-easterly at around 3 Beaufort, while the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 13°C inland, 17°C along the coast, and 9°C in the mountains.

Over the weekend and into Monday, the weather will stay mainly clear, with occasional high clouds. Temperatures will hold steady on Saturday and rise slightly by Monday, remaining well above the seasonal average.
