Monday night’s earthquake felt in Limassol district

An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale was recorded on Monday night and was felt by citizens mainly in areas of the Limassol district. 

According to the Geological Survey Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment, the earthquake of 3.6 magnitude was recorded at 23:23 local time. Its epicenter was in the sea area, 22 kilometers east of the city of Limassol. 

The earthquake was mainly felt in areas of the Limassol district and less in the rest of Cyprus.

The activity is being monitored by the Seismological Center of the Geological Survey Department.
